The RH2-SPACE is the space-mounted configuration of Solace Air’s RH2+ Steam Humidifier. This is a unit designed to be mounted within the mechanical space or equipment room rather than directly in your ductwork. The space-mounted format provides easier physical access to the steam canister, drain valve, water supply connection, and electrical components during service visits – a meaningful advantage for Legacy Home Services technicians performing annual maintenance, inspections, or repairs. Because the RH2-SPACE is positioned in the mechanical space, it is also more accessible for visual inspection of water supply line condition, drain line routing and termination, and any evidence of mineral scale or water intrusion around the base of the unit. Legacy Home Services‘s technicians can confirm the drain line is routing correctly and terminating at an appropriate drain point during every service visit, which is an often-overlooked check that prevents water damage events from drain line blockages during the operating season.

The RH2-DUCT is the duct-mounted configuration of Solace Air’s RH2+ Steam Humidifier. This is a unit designed to mount directly to the supply duct, with the steam canister and all operating components housed within or immediately adjacent to the ductwork rather than in a separate mechanical space. The duct-mounted format integrates the steam humidifier directly into the air distribution system, introducing steam output into the airstream at the duct penetration point. From a service perspective, the RH2-DUCT’s duct-mounted position introduces different access considerations than the space-mounted RH2-SPACE. The canister, drain valve, and water connections are accessed from the duct-mounted housing, which may require more care during disassembly and reassembly.
